Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman claims that Apple will soon present an updated iPad Pro tablet. In his Saturday issue of Power On, he reported that before the iPad Pro models with a diagonal of 11 and 12.9 inches on the Apple M2 chip, there were only a few days left.
This is the first update of the iPad Pro tablet line in a year and a half. The main difference between the innovations from the predecessors will be the use of the M2 chip, which generates a productivity increase of almost 20% over M1.
The external appearance of the new iPad Pro models will be similar to current versions. For the fourth year of the series, the Pro tablets will have the same design with flat edges. No other significant changes are expected.
Previously, rumours claimed that an 11-inch model would get a mini-LED slide like an older 12.9-inch model, but according to the latest data, that wouldn't happen.
According to Gurman, Apple is also working on a new entry-level tablet with USB-C port and design similar to iPad Pro.
Apple is reported not to be holding an event in October on the introduction of the new iPad Pro tablets, and it is expected that the company will announce the release of the new iPad Pro tablets and the updating of Mac's line in a press release as well as on its website.
The company is also expected to release iPadOS 16. It is reported that Apple has delayed release of iPadOS 16 without having to release it at the same time as updating iOS in order to give the developers more time to improve it, as well as to develop the multi-task/multi-continuous Stage Manager function, which is still faulty by sources.
Apple's quarterly report will be published on October 27. The company usually produced new products a few days or weeks before the quarterly report was published. It is expected that this year it will not change this tradition.
