According to Bloomberg, billionaire Ilon Mask is under investigation by the U.S. federal authorities because of a deal to buy a Twitter microblog service. Twitter, in turn, is trying to get his correspondence with federal authorities regarding the circumstances of the investigation, explaining its interest in the key issues in the service's and Tesla's trial.
In a court document published on Thursday, Twitter reported that it was 22 July that it was the first time that it had requested material related to the investigation and that the Maska legal team had refused to comply with its requirements, citing the secrecy of the investigation.

A judge of the State Chancellor's Court of Delaware, Katalyn McCormick, has set aside time for Maska to close the Twitter deal until October 28 if he wants to avoid further litigation.
Meanwhile, a Twitter investor sued Ilon Mask, accusing him of manipulating the prices of social media shares.
