Last summer, Fossil introduced Gen 6's smart hours, working on the Snapdragon 4100+ processor, managed by Wear OS. Now the company announced their updated version of Wellness Edition with the latest version of the software platform.
The Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition is also equipped with the Snapdragon 4100+ chip, but it operates under the Wear OS 3 control, which is the first Fossil device to install a state-of-the-art OS for Google wearers. This means that Wellness Edition supports YouTube Music, Spotify and Facer, but Google's voice assistant is not here, and users will have to be content with Amazon Alexa.
The most important innovation is the Wellness application, which offers new opportunities that relate to health and fitness: monitoring of oxygen levels in blood and heart rate, physical load control and cardio-cardioration by measuring the IASC indicator of maximum oxygen consumption, and optimized sleep monitoring and continuous monitoring of the heart rate outside training.
The other technical characteristics of the Foxil Gen 6 Wellness Edition remained the same: 1.28-inch OLED disk with the Always-On function, 1 Gbyte OZU and 8 Gbyte on a built-in storage device. The standard 44-mm body is available in three colours: black, silver and pink gold.
