Director General Meta* Platforms Mark Zuckerberg often criticizes Apple, especially after the company changed its confidentiality policy to iOS, which seriously hurt Facebook.* This time Zuckerberg criticized the future garrison of Apple's mixed reality, stating that the metaverse should be "open."
Words about Apple's mixed reality garrison have been going on for quite some time, and it's supposed to be officially launched in 2023, and Meta* recently introduced his most advanced VR Quest Pro garrison. In a conversation with journalists, Zuckerberg explained why he thought his company's VR ecosystem was better than what Apple was working on.
The head of Meta* pointed out that the determining factor was not the availability of better equipment, but the openness of the ecosystem. According to Zuckerberg, his company was in Apple because both companies were working on a metaverse. Zuckerberg drew a comparison between Mac and PC, as well as Android and iOS, stressing Apple's desire to lock users inside its own ecosystem. He believed that many developers and companies should be involved in the creation of a metaverse.
According to Zuckerberg, the launch of Apple's mixed reality garrison could harm both competitors and consumers, as the company is already under full control of the iPhone, which is used by a large number of people around the world.
