During the annual Ignite 2022 conference, Microsoft displayed a floating task panel on Windows 11. Microsoft Director General Satya Nadella demonstrated the conceptual user interface of the operating system, and some viewers drew attention to the task panel and widgets that were displayed at the top of the workspace.
The Windows 11 task panel was seen on the Surface device. This suggests that Microsoft has created a concept of a user interface for sensor screen devices. This also benefits from the fact that the Surface Studio 2 Plus monobox presented yesterday has supported a change in the label size of the task panel depending on the position of the display.
In August this year, some participants in the Windows Insider pre-assessment program spoke of the appearance of a floating task panel with rounded corners, but Microsoft did not at that time confirm the changes that were being prepared, citing a software error.
Note that during the year Microsoft tested many experimental functions in Windows 11, many of which are unlikely to appear in stable versions of the software platform. It is possible that the floating task panel may have the same fate, but its appearance in the company's official presentation suggests that the software giant is still planning to make this change in the future. Microsoft officials have not yet commented on the matter.
