Steam's mobile application received a major upgrade -- a reworked design, a QR code entry, and a rem

Valve announced its withdrawal from the beta-tested mobile version of its Steam digital distribution service, which began in August. The updated application is already available on iOS and Android.

Steam Mobile offers a new frame, interface and additional functions: QR-code authorization, more sophisticated notices, customized tabs, an improved library, and a remote download on the PC.

Valve assures us that it has improved the security of the accounts on the entire Steam platform, which makes the application the best way to protect its account with a two-factor authentication.

When entering Steam, the QR code does not need to enter account name and password because .

The mobile application also features a page of authorized devices with access to the user's account, which can be withdrawn if necessary.

In addition to Steam Mobile, Valve has updated the Steam Chat app, which provides access to the same features as the chat room on the desktop client. Valve also recalled the Steam Link application to broadcast games with the PC.

Finally, Valve thanked beta testers for their feedback and described the immediate plans: a QR code on Steam Deck, new types of notifications, a list of authorized devices in the desktop client and browser.
