Apple Music and Apple TV will be available on Windows 11 before the end of 2023 and Microsoft informed the developers that the relevant desktop applications will be available via Microsoft Store online. Beta versions of the software are expected to be available shortly, but the exact dates are not yet disclosed.
According to developers, the partnership with Apple will also be expanded to include personal media. For example, users will be able to synchronize photos with iCloud, and will then be able to view their images in the standard photo application.
Currently, Microsoft users can view Apple TV content only through a web version of the service, and Apple Music can view it on a music.apple.com or iTunes for Windows. All of the options described are much less comfortable and comfortable with Apple home-based services, so that the production of the applications can greatly improve their impressions and attract new users.
This is not the first step in the collaboration between two corporations, but Microsoft has previously allowed its users to transfer the iCloud photography library via a separate application. Apple Music has already been made available to Xbox owners and Apple TV during the testing phase.
For Apple, in turn, it is a very large potential for expanding the subscription business. According to Statcounter, Windows ranks first among desktop operating systems with 74.99% of the market. By comparison, MacOS's share is only 14.84%.
