Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphone owners will have free access to Google One VPN

During Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, Google announced that their owners would have access to Google One VPN "without additional payment." Thus, the manufacturer notes, they will be the first smartphones to have full access to VPN.

The VPN service was previously provided as a subscription to Google One, which is worth $9.99 a month and offers 2 Tbytes in a cloud vault and some other benefits, and now users of the new Pixel will receive VPN free of charge.

In doing so, Google clarified on Twitter that VPN could have a number of limitations: some data would not be transmitted via VPN, the use of VPN could increase traffic, and in some countries the service would not be available at all, and the company did not promptly respond to a request for which types of data would not be transmitted via VPN.
