Facebook's social network* has announced an important update that will make it easier for users to decide what content they want to see in their tape. With the latest changes, users will be able to select positions that are more relevant to their interests.
Based on the release on Meta* blog, Facebook updates* Feed will actually make the tape more interesting and personalized. In particular, people will be able to choose "Show More" or "Show Less" under each social network post. By doing so, its algorithms will allow this kind of feedback to be used to select the preferred content.
Each post has a rating. By pressing "Show More", the user temporarily improves this rating and similar content rating. By pressing "Show Less", the platform temporarily reduces the "value" of content. The rating determines what the user sees in the issue. According to Meta* this will make the artificial intelligence systems of the social network smarter and more responsible.
First, users will see the selection buttons from time to time directly in their issuance. Facebook* intends to make the function more familiar. In any event, it is possible to make a choice at any time by clicking on the three-point menus accompanying each post.
In addition, the company will choose which type of content users want to see in their tape in principle; for example, it will now be possible to select more posts published by friends or family members and fewer posts published by groups.
The changes appeared on Facebook* after the same Meta* social network Instagram* was criticized for demonstrating too many "recommended" posts.
Users have already begun to benefit from innovations in Facebook issuance.*
