The President and Director General of CD Projekt, Adam Kichinsky, in a conversation with investors, answered the question when players can wait for the first part of the new trilogy The Witcher.

Remember, Polaris was introduced in March and has since moved to preproduction. For the first time in the series, the game was created on the Unreal Engine 5 engine.

According to Kichinsky, as CD Projekt RED needs to spend time mastering Unreal Engineering 5 and laying the technological foundations for the future trilogy, Polaris will require .

So for each of the two continuations, Polaris is going to spend on average about three years, and to ask whether it's logical to assume that the first part of the coming saga will take more time to create, Kichinsky answered in the affirmative.

The Senior Vice President of CD Project for Business Development, Michael Novakowski, added that in the past, the development of new technology paralleled the game for four to five years, but the situation with Polaris might be different.

In other words, the Polaris release will have to wait until at least 2025. The project is a large role-playing game in the open world. More than 150 CD Projekt RED employees are involved in the creation.
