Ilon Mask suggested that Twitter resume the start-up deal for the purchase of social media. Bloomberg's publication was shared by sources familiar with the situation. Against this news, the value of Twitter shares jumped 18% immediately.
Remember that Mask announced plans to buy a $44 billion Twitter controlling stake in April 2022. Later, a scandal broke out around the social media because of the Facebook accounts on the platform. The businessman said that he had not been provided with information about the bots and fake accounts, and then he demanded the cancellation of the deal. In response, Twitter filed a lawsuit to force the Mask to conclude the transaction under the original terms.
The trial was scheduled for mid-October, and according to one of Bloomberg's sources, business lawyers thought it was a negative development, and Judge Kathleen St. J. McCormick had been on Twitter several times in pre-trial disputes.
