Russian scientists have discovered a new asteroid 2022 SE37, which is approaching Earth. As TASS writes with reference to the data of the Institute of Applied Mathematics of M. V. Keldys R.R., two Russian observatorys observed that the asteroid was approaching.
At the beginning of the year, the All-Russian Institute for Civil Defence and Emergency Research of the MES reported a possible impact of the Apophis asteroid with the Earth ' s geostationary satellites; an asteroid with a diameter of almost 400 metres will fly near the Earth on 13 April 2029; experts estimate that, in the event of a collision with the Earth, the blast would have a capacity of 1,700 megatons, 30 times the capacity of the Soviet thermonuclear bomb tested in 1961.
