Sega announced its first block game based on the Sangokushi Taisen franchise. According to 4Gamer, the project is being developed in collaboration with Double Jump Tokyo. The Sangokushi Taisen game is a real-time strategy that is mostly popular on Japanese game machines. For it, gamers collect physical maps that can then be added to the game.
So far, it's not clear how the new project is going to use block-chamber technology; it might be directly linked to card mechanics; the data stored in the box allows users to own, buy and sell digital items, including game objects or illustrations.
Some gaming companies have already started selling digital products in the form of non-reciprocal currents, including Konami and Atari. Blizzard Entertainment is also interested in technology, but its use in games has been criticized by gamers who consider NFT only a cynical way of earning money.
As for the Sangokushi Taisen block game from Sega, the release date and target platform of the game have not yet been announced.
