The launch of the Crew-5 mission to ISS on SpaceX Crew Dragon, another crew of three astronauts and Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina, was again postponed for 24 hours, this time until October 5, because of Hurricane Ian, which hit Florida.

According to the U.S. National Hurricane Monitoring Centre, Ian is on its way across the state in a north-eastern direction and is now in category four, and it is likely that it will reach the Kennedy Space Center in Florida today.

The representative of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the United States assured us that the hurricane would not cause any harm to the Falcon 9 missile and the Crew Dragon, which were in safety at the SpaceX hangar at launch site 39A.

If everything goes well, Falcon 9 with Crew Dragon will be launched on October 5 at the latest at noon local time.

Hurricane also caused a change in the launch dates of the NASA Artemis 1 moon mission scheduled for September 27, and the SLS launch vehicle with Orion is now in the hangar and will not be launched before November.
