With the ageing of smartphones, there is also an increase in battery swelling. Although producers have made significant progress in addressing this problem in recent years, Samsung does not seem to be doing very well. A well-known blogger with a large collection of smartphones found a massive rise in the old models of the company.

In his video, the owner of YouTube Channel Mrwhosetheboss is Arun Maini.

At first, the blogger thought that the cause of the swelling was the anomalous heat that prevailed in London in the summer; however, he later noticed that the batteries in the old iPhone, Pixel and ASUS were quite effective, kept under similar conditions.

Shortly after Arun spoke about the problem on Twitter, Samsung contacted him and took the devices for examination. Two months later, no information was received from the company.

Meanwhile, Arun received confirmation of the problem from the popular YouTube channel This Is, which also has a large collection of smartphones, as well as from regular users. It is reported that the problem concerns literally all models released before Galaxy S20.

According to the available data, this is mostly about copies that have not been used for a long time. The old smartphones, which are regularly used, seem to remain functional. It is worth remembering that it is in no way worth trying to charge because of the high fire threat; this is being warned by the manufacturers themselves.
