The Intel XesS technology is now supported by the Death Stringing Directer's Cut

Kojima Productions announced support for the temporary scale-up technology of Intel XesS in Death String Directors Cut. The relevant patch has already been released, thus the benefits of XesS are available to both Intel Arc and other video card owners.

On the eve of Intel released XesS SDK, all the tools needed are available for downloading on GitHub. The company also published a guide for developers to all those interested in adding support for this technology to their games: the documents explain how the technology works and how to select XesS profiles for game settings.

The technology is presented in two versions: an optimized solution for Intel XML graphics, as well as a cross-vendor model that can work on the DirectX12 HLSL model. The solution supported by external video maps will not work as effectively as the Intel version.

The arrival of XesS support in Death Stringing means that the Intel library is ready to work on major projects, so yesterday it debuted at Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It is likely that the list of supporting games will soon expand.
