The Swedish company Polestar announced that the 600 km electric crossover Polestar 3 would be officially presented to the general public on 12 October. The car was designed with pneumatic suspensions and active amortizers, as well as a torque vector function, all of which would help Polestar 3 compete with other electric sneakers such as Mercedes-Benz EQS, Rivian R1S and Tesla Model X.

Polestar 3 will be equipped with a power unit with a pair of electric motors which, in torque distribution, gives priority to the rear axle. In the standard vehicle design, there is an adaptive two-cam pneumatic suspension with active amortizers that will allow the driver to switch between comfortable and more athletic modes. According to the manufacturer, electric vehicle amortizers are adapted to road conditions.

In the Performance Pack version, Polestar develops up to 510 horsepower and 910 Nm torque. In comparison, Tesla Model X develops up to 670 horse power forces. In this version, Polestar 3 will have a specially designed chassis as well as some additional options.

According to available data, Polestar 3 will be produced in the United States at the Volvo plant in Charleston, South Carolina, with an electric vehicle cost of $75,000 to $111,000, depending on the set.
