An updated version of the fully electrical hatchback Peugeot e-208, which became more powerful with the use of the new engine, also received an increased range, will be sold in Europe next year and its retail value will be announced at a later date.
Peugeot e-208 is equipped with the same electrical power system as previously used in Peugeot e-308. This has resulted in an increase in power from 136 horsepower in the previous generation to 156 horsepower, and the developers optimized energy consumption, increasing the range by 10.5% to 400 km.
Peugeot e-208 will be available in versions with a standard one-phase charger of 7.4 kW and a three-phase charger of 11 kW. The fast charging technology will be maintained to charge 100 kW from a station of 20% to 80% in less than 25 minutes. Three traffic modes are available to increase the range or increase the power. Activation of the Brake option triggers the energy recovery technology, increasing the deceleration when the gas pedal is released.
The manufacturer notes that the new Peugeot e-208 has a modern appearance and combines state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Since the launch of the first version of the electric hatchback, about 110,000 copies of the car have been sold, indicating the high interest of buyers in the model.
