Tested insider Tom Henderson, in his Insider Gaming portal, described the plans of the entertaining giant Disney to release games in the universe of Star Wars.
According to Henderson's informants, Disney's game release schedule includes two Star Wars projects in 12 months, or one product every six months.
Henderson explains that two "star" blockbusters a year Disney is not gonna cheer fans up: it's one big game and a smaller caliber.
To date, eight "Star Wars" games from Disney partners have been announced:
- Unnamed game in the open world from Massive Entertainment; conditional-free network action Star Wars: Hunters from Zynga; role-playing role-playing game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic from apparently Saber Interactive; non-line fighter Star Wars Eclipse from Quantic Dream; nameless shooter from Respawn Entertainment; nameless strategy from Bit Reactor; nameless adventure from Skydance New Media; Jedi action Star Wars Jedi: Survivor from Respawn Entertainment.
Many of the projects on the list do not even have an approximate release date, and some are separated from the release for a few more years, while, according to Henderson, a number of Star Wars games are still at an early stage of development.
