Mobileye, owned by Intel Corporation, and one of the largest Chinese car manufacturers, Geely Holding Group, announced increased cooperation in the development of advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicle technologies, following the release of the ZEEKR 001 electric vehicle with Mobile SuperVision technology.
As part of the collaboration, three more car brands will start the global production of electric vehicles with driver assistance technology (Mobileye SuperVision), starting next year. In addition, the ZEEKR brand will present two new models of electric vehicles with Mobile SuperVision, and will develop new functions based on lidar in conjunction with Mobilee. It is expected that by the end of the year there will be a series of updates to the Mobile SuperVision, which will greatly enhance the system's capabilities.
The Mobile SuperVision is based on two sevenths of EyeQ single-crystal chips. 5 To ensure full visual coverage of the vehicle environment, the system uses 11 high-resolution cameras, seven long-range and four short-range. The Mobile SuperVision provides automated driving for different types of roads, from highway, trunk and rural to urban roads, allowing the vehicle to independently change the traffic lane, cross the intersections, and perform automatic parking and a number of other operations.
