Netflix and Night School announced that the Oxenfree II: Last Signals adventure would be postponed. The game will now be released in 2023 on the PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 instead of the previously scheduled release window in 2022.
In her letter, Night School Studio thanked fans for their fans, ecstatic comments, and other support, but she explained that she was moving Oxenfree II: Lost Signals to make it the best game of the team and really special, and that more time would also add more localizations.
Oxenfree II: Last Signals unfolds five years after the first part. Riley returns to the city of Kamena, but again faces mysterious radio signals that lead to even greater riddles. Fans are waiting for familiar election dialogues, as well as various supernatural phenomena.
The first Oxenfrey was released in 2016 on PC and Xbox One, followed by a release on PlayStation 4 in 2016 and iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch in 2017.
