Last year we talked about HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.6 inches. Today we're talking about incarnation of this model with a fresher filler and an 11-inch screen and otherwise more compact dimensions.
The 11-inch HUAWEI MatePad Pro is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 platform, equipped with 8 Gbytes of operational memory and 256 Gbyte storage capacity, has a SIM card slot, a double rear camera and an OLED screen, and is associated with special accessories that expand its functionality.

♪ Design, display, sound
The design of HUAWEI MatePad Pro has changed dramatically. If the frontal camera is embedded in the screen, we have not yet met the HUAWEI-style camera block.
This round block with two small lenss and a flash is visible over the tablet body -- and it's logical that the thickness of the device is 5.9 mm. If it's not the thinst tablet in the market, it's definitely one of the thinst ones. The frame around the screen is also more than thin -- the display takes 87.8% of the face surface, and yes, there's no room for a frontal in such a frame.
The tablet is very high-quality. The face panel and the camera block are covered with glass, the edges are made of matte plastic, the back is covered with plastic, but with a very nice wooly invoice that resembles processed metal. It feels like HUAWEI MatePad Pro 11 inches, but it weighs relatively little – 449 grams.
Functional elements are quite common: we don't find a minijack on the edges.
Fingerprint unlocking is not possible, except face recognition by frontal camera or the insertion of a graphic key/pass key/PIN code.
The tablet has an 11-inch.
The measured maximum luminance level is 398 cd/m2, which is normal for a tablet, because it primarily affects the ability to use a device under direct sunlight, and this is not often done in the case of a tablet, but we consider that this is a matrix on organic LEDs, so if you want to work in a bench in a park, you can do it with moderate comfort.
In the display settings, you can display an "eye comfort" mode with warmer tones than usual -- useful if you're going to use a tablet before you go to bed. You can also set up an "e-book" mode -- the picture not only warms but becomes monochrome. There are two presets of color transmissions — "normal colors" and "bright colors", you can also manually adjust the color temperature; there is also a setup of a "natural tone" in which the tablet itself adjusts the flower to external lighting. By default, the tablet operates in a "normal colour" mode, in which I measured the colour transmission.
The color coverage of the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 11 inches in "normal colours" mode is very close to that of sRGB. The gamma is within the normal range. The average deviation of DeltaE is 4.41 at 3.00. If you want to play another color, you can pick it up, but the screen of the tablet is generally well set.
The lack of analog separation affects the functionality of the device, but there is no problem with wireless transmission, and the most important thing is the use of six dynamics at once, which sounds very good. The failure to cooperate with HARMAN/KARDON has no effect on the sound quality of the device. It is worth saying that HUAWEI MatePad Pro 11 is good not only in terms of sound reproduction, but also in terms of transmission: a special system with neuronets accurately recognizes the voice and more than 200 different types of noise. This means that colleagues will no longer hear the barking of dogs in the background or the noise of the road from the cafe window, they will only hear your clear voice without undue noise. In addition, the two-stage echoback algorithm is used to eliminate the echo during call-up and keeping the voice clear.
*HarmonyOS and accessories
HUAWEI MatePad Pro 11 operates under the control of the HarmonyOS 3.0 operating system – the first official update of HUAWEI's "consumer" OS. The launch version, introduced last spring, has already been named HarmonyOS 2.0. Externally, the same fonts, the same badges, the same interface as a whole are few different. The main differences have been in the confidentiality, safety and speed of the system; it also uses a fresh Super Framework game engine that reduces energy consumption in graphics maintenance and improves the operational response of applications.
Perhaps the most important innovation is to strengthen support for smarter devices from the HUAWEI ecosystem through the "Super Structure" function.
Otherwise, the system is very similar to HarmonyOS 2.0 and provides a close user experience that we are used to on HUAWEI smartphones with Android, but without Google services. The notification area and the control panel are located in different spaces and are caused by a corresponding scrambling from the central/left area of the upper edge of the screen and from the right edge. Note the existence of special tablet functions such as screen separation, "picture cards" and "multicrin" functions with a computer.
For HUAWEI MatePad Pro 11 inches, there are a pair of accessories that are markedly expanding the scope of application of the tablet. One is a magnetic keyboard for the HuAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard, familiar with the company's other tablets, but adapted to the dimensions of the MatePad Pro 11 inches and with a characteristic cut in the rear chamber area. The same performance is: a sliced outer surface, a paste for the tablet, excellent mechanical keys with high speed and pleasant pressure, as well as the absence of any port — it is charged wirelessly and without contact at the expense of magnetic fixation. It is only worth "recruiting" on the tablet. Yes, the keyboard itself can now be unlocked from the stand and used slightly outside — extremely conveniently.
The second accessory is the 2nd generation HUAWEI M-Pencil pen with a 4096-degree sensor, a panel that can be switched between its operating modes, two types of tips and charged, like a keyboard, without wires, and a special support for the pen, which is also attached to the keyboard.

The HuAWEI MatePad Pro 11 inches contains the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 hardware platform, the last year's flagship decision by an American brand, which, in addition to high power, has been famous for heat production problems.
The platform consists of eight Kryo 680 kernels with a 5 nm process: the main kernel is derived from the processed Cortex-X1 and has a frequency of 2.84 GHz; it is supplemented by three modified ARM Cortex-A78 kernels with a frequency of 2.42 GHz and four energy efficient modified ARM Cortex-A55 with a frequency of 1.8 GHz. The Graphic subsystem is Adreno 660.
There's no problem with the productivity of HUAWEI Mated Pro 11 inches, which, of course, was read -- it's even a very high level for 2022 -- but what an incredibly thin tablet wouldn't have a problem with a Trentling is a huge and pleasant surprise. Let's just say that HUAWEI smartphones on the same hardware platform weren't always able to complete resource tests due to overheating, but there's actually no frequency drop.
HUAWEI MatePad Pro 11 inches is offered in the only built-in memory: 8+256 Gbyte, but with or without LTE modem.
HUAWEI MataPad Pro 11 inches received a similar backset of the camera with what we saw on HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.6 inches. This is a double module: 13-megapixel sensor and a lens with a very good light intensity D/1.8 and an auto-focused camera is responsible for the standard angle of view, while the second camera is responsible for the extended angle of vision: 8 megapixels, D/2,2 auto-focus is not available.
By default, it's suggested not only with standard or extended viewing angles, but also with a ten-fold program zoom. Examples are just a little higher. The tablet is really capable of producing a very good picture -- it's not quite clear why it's a type of device, but you can even film it at night.
The front camera is 16 Mp + D/2.2 and, in addition to a good picture, it can keep you in the frame all the time during video calls, thanks to the HUAWEI FollowCam 2.0 function.
The HuAWEI MatePad Pro 11 inches is equipped with a 31.54 Wh battery. It provides about 12 hours of the Full-HD video view on maximum luminance, the result of which is normal. A 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge charger is installed with which the tablet can be fully charged in less than two hours.
♪ Conclusion
HUAWEI MatePad Pro 11 inches. To a certain extent HUAWEI Mated Pro 11 inches can even replace the laptop, if you need a "print machine" with some additional options.
