The Brazilian studio Rastrolabs launched a campaign on Kickstarter to finance the development of RoadOut, a story-based race adventure inspired by The Legend of Zelda, Grand Theft Auto and Rock n' Roll Racing.
At the time of writing this note, users donated US$ 700 of the US$ 10,000 needed. The amount is shown in Japanese yen because, due to Kickstarter's inefficiencies in Brazil, developers applied for help with the launch of the campaign to a friend of theirs from Japan.
RoadOut is a staged role-playing adventure with dynamic races with a view from the top. Events occur in a post-apocalyptic world where robots and bandits rule. Players will play the role of losing the memory of Claire's mercenary who tried to destroy humanity.
Players have to study the Dead Zone by car. By performing missions for different groups, players can improve their relationship with one another and ruin their relationship with the other.
Users will also perform missions, study dungeons, fight and solve puzzles, developers promise complete surprises history, solutions with consequences, several endings, dizziness races on ten routes in different biomes, equipment system, body modifications and additional regimes.
The authors noted that they could have launched an adventure without popular funding, but additional funds would help add more content, and the studio would receive valuable feedback from the players.
