The fastest road supercar is put on the market: it looks like a Formula One car

The French car manufacturer Delage announced that their D12 hybrid supercar would be the world's fastest car for public roads.

The manufacturer will release 30 cars around the world and sell them in two variations, Speedster and F1, each worth $1,900, and three different driving options are available, thanks to a rented and moved roof over the cab.

Both versions of D12 are equipped with 7.6 litre V12 engines that develop a torque of 832 Nm at 6200 rpm and a power of 976 horsepower at 8,200 rpm. The model is also equipped with added electric motors.

They provide the power of 1,100 horsepower, the car itself weighs 1,400 kg, and the engine pair has an eight-stage gearbox with one clutch.

It is reported that the car is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, and the company is confident that it will be able to break the Nürburgring circle record.

The cost of the car is $2.3 million. The designers say that when you drive, you feel like you're driving a Formula One car.
