The Slovenian company EK Water Blocks announced the EK-Quantum Velocity2 AM5 processor units designed specifically for the new AMD Socket AM5 and the upcoming Ryzen 7,000 desktop chips.
The manufacturer notes that although the distance between the installation openings for the cooling systems in the Socket AM5 rooms remains the same with 54 mm x 90 mm, the new charges are equipped with an integrated back-up reinforcement plate of the processor skeleton, which requires the use of a new installation system.
New water units, like the predecessors of the Socket AM4 processors, use the OptiFlow architecture and the EK-Matrix7 standard, which provides that changes in product height or port distance do not exceed 7 mm.
The EK-Exact Mount company installation system has been reprocessed for an even simpler installation of the water unit. Spring screws are now located directly in the water unit itself.
The EK-Quantum Velocity2 AM5 series is presented by five versions of water blocks: AM5 Nickel + Plexi.
