In this mode, the top chip can deflate to an insane 5.85 GHz. By comparison, the current AMD Ryzen 95950X despot processor has a ceiling of 4.9 GHz. Thus, in one generation, AMD has been able to add as much as 1 GHz. This probably explains the predicted insane productivity increase. It is interesting that 5.85 GHz is also the ceiling for any chip produced by the TSMC N5 process.
The AMD Ryzen 7000 processors announce the night of August 30th. The launch starts at 2:00 PMC. It's unlikely to show a top AMD Ryzen 97950X, but AMD Ryzen 979000X is likely to show. This chip is said to be limited to 5.5 GHz.
The AMD Ryzen 7000 chip will be sold by the end of September.
