The driver forgot the tablet password and made traffic on the Fukushima line

One of the company's drivers left Koirama Station at 18:18-20 August and about three minutes after the start of the route, he went to his tablet to check his schedule, but his attempts to unlock the device failed: he forgot his password.

As a result, the driver had to check the schedule several times during stops at stations such as Asakanagamori and Yayagawa on the way to the final destination, which totalled 23 minutes ' delay, and about 60 passengers were affected by the late arrival of the train.

This is actually the second incident in a few months. On July 8, at 18:55, the driver was planning to leave JR Isinomaki station in the neighbouring prefecture of Miyazaki in the direction of Sendai. However, prior to his departure, the driver could not remember the password of his tablet. He then decided to wait at the station until someone gave him a paper copy of the schedule. This method resulted in a 22-minute delay, which affected about 120 people.

JR Fukushima said that they would provide additional guidance to drivers to remember passwords. A simpler solution would probably be simply to unblock the lock because the schedule is not very secret information, and they would have to worry about not getting into the wrong hands.
