China's semiconductor industry has accused the US of discrimination because of new restrictive measu

At the official level, the Chinese authorities have already protested the adoption by American colleagues of a package of laws that provide companies with subsidies for the construction of businesses in the US in exchange for, among other things, a promise not to develop production in China for 10 years, and this provision of U.S. law has also caused displeasure among the Chinese semiconductor industry.

In any event, the Vice-President of the China Semiconductor Industry Association Yu Sekan, without further details at the Nanjing event, stated that parts of this package of American laws and, in general, the US initiative was aimed at supporting the foreign-policy competitors of the PRC. According to the representative of the Industry Association, some of the points of the U.S. authorities ' subsidy programme for the national semiconductor industry were contrary to the principles of fair trade supported by WTO.

According to Yu Sekan, the PRC authorities should continue to support the national semiconductor industry in order to address the bottlenecks that prevented its further technological development, and other participants added that the American package of laws made it more uncertain for the development of the entire world industry, and Chinese authorities, educational institutions and companies should resist this together.
