Apple Watch and MacBook will be organized for the first time in Viet Nam

Even under the former US president, the so-called "trade war" has made it unprofitable to import Apple devices assembled in China into the country; political contradictions between countries continue to force companies to develop production outside the PRC, and for the first time MacBook watches and laptops will be assembled in Viet Nam.

At least Nikkei Asian Review, with reference to its own sources, reports that a test assembly of Apple Watch and MacBook has begun in the Vietnamese Luxshare and Foxconn industries; iPad tablets and wireless airPods are already being produced in Viet Nam, but it has reached its first time in the hours and laptops. Given the technical complexity of installing elements in the Apple Watch compact building, obtaining appropriate orders from the Vietnamese Luxshare industry can be seen as a recognition of the high level of skill of local staff.

Apple continues to transport iPad tablets to Viet Nam because in the spring of this year, Chinese contractors suffered from long-term elbows. First, the assembly of the iPad in Viet Nam was organized by the Chinese company BYD, known for its batteries and electric cars, and now added to it by an old Apple partner in Foxconn.

The migration of Apple laptops to Viet Nam faces difficulties mainly due to the need to reorient supply chains; the ecosystem is now more developed in China and its main advantage remains cost optimization, and the creation of alternative infrastructure in Viet Nam is still expensive. The migration of Apple contractors to that country began in 2020 with the AirPods earpieces. Since 2018, the number of Apple components with capacity in Viet Nam has increased from 14 to 22.
