Currently, five new generation Glonass-K satellites are being produced at the AO's "M.F. Rechetnewa Academy Information Satellite Systems" workshops. These machines not only have improved performance but also have a life expectancy of 10 years, and in addition to the main navigation signal, they can transmit the signals of the COSPAS-SARSAT international system to search for and rescue those in distress around the world.
