DuckDuckGo will strengthen protection against Microsoft trackers against user dissatisfaction

In May this year, it became known that mobile versions of the DuckDuckGo browser, which is highly confidential and positioned by developers as a safe and secure product, block Google and Facebook trackers,* but allow Microsoft scripts to collect user data.

According to available data, the list of off-site tracking scripts that are blocked in DuckDuckGo will be expanded from next week to include Microsoft trackers. This innovation concerns the viewer ' s versions for Android and iOS-controlled devices, as well as extensions for desktop browsers.

," commented the founder and CEO of DuckDuckGo, Gabriel Weinberg.

Weinberg also noted that Microsoft scripts had never been incorporated into the DuckDuckGo search engine or applications that did not track user activity. He noted that websites were building scripts for their own purposes, so the information gathered in this way had not been transmitted to DuckDuckGo. The head of the company recalled that DuckDuckGo had previously restricted the tracking of Microsoft by other means, including by blocking the outside files of Microsoft's doll.
