Koch Media's publisher changed the name because the old man had an unseemly pronunciation

The Austrian publisher Koch Media announced the rebranding in a recent press release, and now the owner of Deep Silver, Prime Matter and Ravenscourt is called Play.

According to the co-founder and CEO of Plaion Clemens Kundratitz, the new name is intended to reflect the strong growth of the company after joining Embracer and that.

In an interview with Games Industry, Kundratitz added that the decision to adopt a new name was also influenced by the difficulties of some people in pronunciating the old one: Koch in Koch Media reads as "Koch", not "Koch".

Along with the new name, the former Koch Media also received a modified logo in the form of an interactive Play button.

==History==Koch Media was founded in 1994 and now owns ten games: Volition, Dambster Studios, Fishlabs, Warhorse Studios, Milestone, Voxler, DigitalArt, Flying Wild Hog, Free Radical Design and Vertigo Games.
