AMD promised to present the Ryzen 7,000 desktop processors before the end of the quarter

AMD made a preliminary description of the characteristics and capabilities of the Ryzen 7000 processors with the Zen 4 architecture in Socket AM5 at the end of May, but the timing of their entry to the market was still vague, referring only to the autumn of this year, and it was known from unofficial sources that the market debut of the new 5 nm processors could take place in September, and at the last quarterly event, the AMD leadership announced its intention to release them before the end of the quarter.

The financial quarter in the company's accounts almost coincides with the calendar, so the current three-month period will end at the end of September. Accordingly, by the end of the next month, AMD will be able to present the Ryzen 7000 family of processors without breaking the commitments made. Tomorrow night, as you can learn from the invitation on the AMD website, the company will hold a seminar for trade network representatives on the Socket AM5 motherboard.

A reference to the timing of the Ryzen 7000 processors was made by AMD CEO Lisa Soo in the pre-positioned part of her speech at the quarterly report conference.

In the third quarter, as the head of the company explains, the PC segment's revenue may decline by not 8-9%, as previously thought, but by all 14-16%. In the fourth quarter, the company hopes to see a consistent growth in the PC segment, with the expectation of an increase in demand due to the entry of its new 5-nm products, including graphical solutions. The correction of the PC stock forecast this year implies a reduction of 290 or 300 million. Lisa Soo believes that the company is adequately assessing the current situation in the PC market.
