Former creative director Assassin and Creed returned to the industry thanks to Tencent

The Axios portal, with reference to its informants and the Chinese TiMi Studio Group owned by Tencent, reported that the former director Assassin and Creed Valhalla, Ashraf Ismail, had found a new place of work.

It will be recalled that in the summer of 2020, Ismail resigned from the position of head of Valhalla and creative director of the series on leave of absence, and as a result of an internal investigation, Ubisoft was dismissed.

As it became known, Ismaila was hired by the TiMi Studio Group to help guide the development of an unannounced game.

," confirms the unnamed representative of the TiMi Studio Group.

However, Tencent did not officially announce the recruitment of Ismail, nor did he mention TiMi in his online summary on LinkedIn. Unlike other employees at the Montreal studio, many of whom were previously Ubisoft.
