Of the 4,400 crimes solved by 228,000 video cameras, 22 homicides, 102 cases of intentional serious injury to health, 131 robberies and 335 robberies, statistics from Interfax are contained in a report from the agency following a Friday panel.
The capital head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported a decrease in detected crime in all major categories, for example, serious and particularly serious crimes in Moscow in the first half of 2022 were 17.1 per cent less than a year-to-year, almost 25 per cent fewer home thefts, 15.3 per cent more carjackings, 7.1 per cent less frauds.
The Moscow law enforcement agencies report that crimes related to trafficking in illicit substances were reported as 13.5 per cent less than in the same period the previous year, and that 2.5 thousand people were prosecuted for drug offences, including only 126 organized criminal groups and drug-distribution communities.
Economic crimes were identified by 6.8 thousand, and capital law enforcement officers recorded more than 1.4 cases of corruption, in which 538 persons were prosecuted.
