The Manchester City Football Club reported on a joint project with Cisco, which has been its technology partner since 2019, and has produced a smart scarf that tracks the fan's emotions by several indicators.
Gadget, called Connected Scarf, was equipped with an EmottiBit sensor, which measures the temperature of the user's body and the frequency of his heart rate — enough to assess the emotional state of a person. Cisco reported that a pilot test program for the device had recently been completed: six fans were invited as volunteers. Using smart scarves, the project measured their life dynamics for 120 minutes, recording the data at the critical moments of the favorite team's game.
In the next season, Manchester City promised to hand over Connected Scarf to more fans, although it did not specify whether the viper would be accessible to all.
