SEC opened an investigation into a possible trade in COINBASE securities without a license

According to Bloomberg News, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has initiated an investigation into a possible violation of U.S. law by the Coinbase Global Inc., which manages the same name cryptobliga.

Commenting on the launching of the SEC investigation, the representative of Coinbase informed Reuters by e-mail that the company did not post securities on its platform; in turn, the head of the Coinbase Legal Service, Paul Graval, promised that the company would work with SEC on the matter.

SEC strengthened the control of Coinbase after the cryptobirga expanded the list of currents allowed to be traded by the participants and reported to Bloomberg with reference to informed sources.

Last week, the U.S. Attorney ' s Office filed an indictment for insider trading with the former product manager of the Coinbase cryptoval exchange, Ishan Wahi, to purchase and sell at least 25 cryptostotypes for illegal profits, nine of which the commission identified as securities.
