Amazfit Bip 3 Pro clock review: for bracelet price, only better

===Amazfit===The Amazfit Bip series is considered to be the easiest of users, but the clock can boast of small dimensions, small mass and decent self-sufficiency at work. The new model of the series, the Amazon Bip 3 Pro clock, has many more technical features that are usually more expensive to wear, while the cost of the new one has remained at the level of previous models.

The watch is delivered in a flat cardboard box, not in a cube, like most other models.

♪ Technical characteristics

The data for the previous generation model, Amazfit Bip U Pro, are given in the table of technical characteristics for comparison. It appears that some useful updates have been made to the new clock concerning the built-in satellite navigation receiver and screen. The latter has increased markedly, albeit with less resolution. The satellite navigation receiver works with four different systems, which should have a positive impact on positioning accuracy. Even the clock has become a little thinner and the battery has a slightly larger amount of self-sustaining time. The manufacturer states that, in a less intensive mode, the newer can run without charging up to two weeks, which is significantly more than the Amazfit Bip U Pro model.

And the control of the heart rate is still the same biometric optical sensor BioTracker 2. It's not the most recent development of Amazfit, but it's also the model for testing not from the bonus class. In any case, it allows for 24-hour monitoring of the CSS, as well as periodic measurement of the oxygen saturation, the quality and quantity of sleep, the control of breathing during sleep, and the measurement of the personal activity index of Huami-PAI.

The new one is available in three color performances of the plastic body and the silicone strap: black, cream and pink. We have the first option for testing. The clock has a rectangular display and a body with smooth corners. They are closed on top with a large glass with rounded edges, but the display below it is slightly smaller.

The clock is equipped with the only multifunctional button on the side of the shell. The button is rotated, but it is not involved in menu navigation. Virtually all clock control is placed on the sensor substrate of the screen.

The lower part of the shell has a characteristic circular projection with a magnet and a pair of contact areas to connect the charging cable, and the central part of the projection contains the windows of the optical pulse sensor.

The new one has a 20 mm wide silicone strap with a characteristic texture on the outside and depths on the inside. The strap is removable with a standard for this type of fastening, so that it can then be changed to any other appropriate size.

There's nothing unusual about the cable with the charging platform on the magnetic base. It's soft enough not to break when the bend is not neat. Otherwise, it's very similar to any other charge cables for smart watches.

The clock is operated by the RTOS operating system, and the smartphone software uses the previously familiar Zepp application, which can be downloaded from Google Play or App Store by scanning the QR code from the instruction or directly from the clock screen at the first activation.

Using the Zepp application, you can download and install one of the available clocks, set them up, turn them on or off access to various data on the smartphone, synchronize with the smartphone the activity and training data, and analyze all the data obtained with the applied tools. We've written about all the possibilities of the Zepp application on several occasions since we met other Amazfit hours, so we're not going to focus on them. We're going to focus only on those features that relate directly to the Amazon Bip 3 Pro hours.

The manufacturer has prepared quite a lot of cyferblates for this model. All of them are divided into topics. But the interesting thing is that the manufacturer offers to create his own personal dial by choosing the background, changing the color of the fonts and even adding his own photograph, which will be displayed on the tablet as a background. A valid screen resolution is enough for a quality display of a photograph or drawing that, by the way, can be drawn for the clock itself.

The widgets available on some of the dials can also be adjusted. For example, instead of the pulse frequency data, you can, for example, turn on the information about the steps that have been taken. And you can change the clock dials that are already loaded with one click on the display. But the dials aren't the most important thing in smart clocks.

Sensor screen management is traditional. By scrambling the screen in different directions, you can switch to a menu of basic settings, to a notice page, to a media player to manage music play on a smartphone, or to a multipage menu of activity, where you can learn about the day-to-day distance, heartbeat, and also measure stress and oxygen levels in blood. The only clock button can be programmed to activate different functions. By default, a single push is called to the main menu of hours, while a hold button opens a page with training modes that the Amazon Bip 3 Pro has more than six dozen. In order to understand this diversity, training is not done all at once, but only the main 15 species that can be modified and adjusted at their own discretion.

There are dances and boxing and onions and even fishing, and of course there are all kinds of running, three kinds of cycling, walking, and different kinds of fitness training, but swimming is only available in the open air. It seems that the component clock stuffing simply doesn't allow you to recognize scoops with your hands in the pool. However, the clock itself will still be able to measure your pulse, which is enough to evaluate the exercise.

Each activity has its own parameters recorded and displayed on the screen. Some of them can be adjusted. If the training takes place on the street, it automatically turns on satellite navigation and track recording. In the future, all data, including track, can be viewed and analysed in the Zepp application by entering the practice log. Here you can look at the track map, as well as look at pulse graphs, speed and other parameters.

It is very important that the track obtained can be exported in GPX format to a telephone. Subsequently, it can be viewed in a variety of applications, including online applications. And Zepp can automatically download training into some specialized online platforms, including Strava's most popular sports social network.

Note that despite being a member of the Amazon Bip 3 Pro to the basic segment of the wearable devices, you can activate the screen of these clocks by wavering your hand, and this function works very precisely. If necessary in the training mode, the screen can be blocked. Also, the Amazon Bip 3 Pro clock receives calls from the phone and alerts you to the incoming caller by showing the number or name of the caller. To do so, you have to ask all the necessary permissions in the appropriate section of the mobile application menu.

♪ The impressions of work ♪

The Amazon Bip 3 Pro clock is amazingly light. If you compare it to any of the modern bracelets, it's about the same, but it's a new one that's really ahead of any bracelet. You can look at all the information you need on the watch screen without using a smartphone, which is very convenient. Of course, Amazon Bip 3 Pro is not AMOLED-dip -- it's brilliant when you get a direct sunshine. But the price of the clock would be different with such a large AMOLD screen.

With regard to the time of autonomous work, the stated two weeks can only be achieved if you have little or no satellite navigation, and your training will not be frequent and not longer than a couple of hours a day, and most of the hours we had to charge every four or five days for daily training on the street with track recordings, and that's a very good result, and the clock continuously measured the pulse, and at night we had to control the sleep.

And it's worth noting separately a very convenient clock management interface. During all the tests, there were no delays in its work or jumps when the menu was displayed. The menu itself is conveniently tailored to the user's specific wishes, which is also a huge plus. And sorting and setting fields in training modes is something that is missing a lot more expensive devices. And for very low-cost Amazfit Bip 3 Pro, this is an opportunity, and it's great.

The accuracy of navigation in clocks can be assessed as being more than acceptable. When applied to maps, the track accurately lay on the tracks and tracks. The precision of pulse measurements is also good. The values are slightly higher than the reference pulse meter connected to tracker Garmin, but there are no failures or unexpected leaps in the measurements, which is the most important thing.

We have also experienced clocks when swimming in an open water body with shallow diving. The new one has successfully accomplished the task. The photo above presents the first leak tests that we have performed under normal living conditions, putting the clock under warm water. With Amazfit Bip 3 Pro, you can swim and wash under the shower -- the manufacturer says the clock must withstand water pressure up to 50 m.

♪ Conclusions

The Amazfit Bip 3 Pro clock is positioned as a relatively simple wearable device available at virtually any price. But close knowledge of this model suggests that the newest is not so simple and certainly not primitive. This device has a very high quality of manufacture and has a detailed software component. As far as the hardware component is concerned, it does not have the variety of sensors that the more expensive models can see, but it has a modern satellite receiver, which is very important for full-scale street training.

These are the main features of the Amazon Bip 3 Pro:

• compactness and small mass; a large full-color display with a large number of different characters and the possibility of creating its own; built-in satellite navigation receiver; 5ATM protection; an ideal integrated software: measurement of PAI, SpO2, breathing, stress, sleep, female health; 61 types of training; integration with Strava and other services; flexible interface and training modes; long-term autonomous working hours.

And that's even though the Amazon Bip 3 Pro doesn't have any significant deficiencies. It's really not. Of course you can count the absence of an AMOLED or a barometer, but let's remind you that it's not the same price category. There's already a lot of useful stuff in it that's enough for the vast majority of people who love fitness, bicycle, or running in a park, and everything that's done in these hours works perfectly, and it's convenient for all of them to use.
