Bloomberg: Apple will release smart hours of Watch with new design and big screen

Apple is preparing a new smart hour model for the top price segment, which will have a big screen and some brand-new design, reporting to Bloomberg.

Apple increased the screen size in the Watch Series 7 hours last year. The smart-hours received a screen from the "creature to the edge" with a thin range of only 1.7 mm. The Diagonal display of the larger Watch Series 7 model was increased from 1.78 to 1.9 inch. And now Apple intends to expand the screen in the new device by about 7% more than its predecessors. According to Bloomberg, the new model will have the first significant design change since 2018, as well as a strong design, longer autonomous operation time, and a body temperature sensor on board.

Bloomberg believes that the new Apple Watch model can become a competition for the Garmin 7 series of "Fenix 7" smart-hours, which are equipped with large screens, strong hulls, and support long-term autonomous operation. Such smart-hours are popular with tourists and runners who require longer-term autonomous operation than Apple Watch offers.

With the release of the new model, Cupertino is likely to expand the audience of Apple Watch buyers. Bloomberg also announced Apple's plans to present a new version of its more affordable smart hour Apple Watch SE this year.
