Startup created a yacht with AI that swims and produces eco-hydrogen

The British startup Drift Energy offers to use Sailing Boats with IE to generate the electricity needed for electrolysis, and then these yachts will deliver clean hydrogen to ports around the world.

Drift invented a yacht-based power system, and they said it was a very flexible, decentralized solution for the production and distribution of energy.

The idea is for sailors to convert wind energy into electricity by means of underwater turbo-generators. The latter trigger electrolysis, the process of splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen will then be delivered to nearby ports and distributed to consumers.

The authors are going to use a combination of traditional weather forecasting and I.I. to establish navigation for the yachts and adjust their course, which, according to the team, will help to ensure the best combination of wind and wave conditions for sustainable generation of electricity.

The idea is that the yacht fleet always works as efficiently as possible, and software can also respond to real-time market changes by redirecting ships to higher demand ports.
