The YouTube video hoste will soon launch new opportunities for e-commerce, which have been implemented in collaboration with Chopify, which is developing software for online vendors and retailers, among other things, to integrate their video hosting stores and sell products directly on YouTube.
According to available data, bloggers will be able to display the products sold on their channels, for example, via video during live broadcasts or after the video game is over. The products will be synchronised with the Shopphy platform so that viewers can see the products in real time. YouTube users will be able to process the purchases without leaving the video hosting, but only in the US at an early stage.
In addition, as of next week, a new section will appear in the Overview tab showing what users can buy. At this stage, this function will be launched in the US, Brazil, and India. YouTube will also expand shopping opportunities during live broadcasts and add new tools to interact with products. Thus, YouTube continues to seek to become a place where users can find and acquire the goods they need, and the new functions are an attempt to make the process more smooth and comfortable.
