Netflix subscribers decreased by 970,000 between April and June 2022, according to the company's accounts, from 221.64 to 220.67 million users.
Despite this, Netflix's results were better than projected. In April, the company's analysts predicted that 2 million subscribers would be missing in the second quarter.
Netflix withdrew from the Russian market in March due to the situation surrounding Ukraine, and its applications were removed from the App Store and Google Play stores.
Previously, in the face of the loss of subscribers and the decline in Netflix's income, Netflix conducted several rounds of staff cuts; in May, the company fired 150 people; in June, another 300; and, in addition, it broke off its relationship with dozens of contractors.
