Qualcomm scheduled Snapdragon Summit 2022 for mid-November, with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 announced

The Snapdragon Summit 2022 will take place from 15 to 17 November and officially announced Qualcomm. During this event, the company usually demonstrated its most advanced and innovative development, including the flagship processor for the Android Smartphones for the coming year.

This year's Qualcomm official Snapdragon Summit event is somewhat out of line, usually in December, and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip was announced last year. In addition, Snapdragon Summit will return to Hawaii after some interruption caused by the pandemic.

The most expected innovation will be the new flagship processor, which, according to the updated manufacturer's nomenclature, is expected to be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. According to unofficial data, its production using 4 nm technology will be handled by the Taiwan contractor TSMC. It was previously reported that the chip would receive a non-standard configuration of the central processor 1+2+2+3: one Arm Cortex X3, two Cortex A720, two Cortex A710 and three Cortex A510. The platform is also expected to receive a graphic acceleration of Adreno 740 and 5G modem.
