Meta* will sue the Facebook owner for the name

In October last year, Facebook* decided to change its name to Meta* and this was a symbol of changing its strategy and shifting its priorities to the emerging metaverse industry, virtual and advanced reality technologies, and it was discovered that a small company had suffered and that it had decided to announce it only now.

The plaintiff was most displeased by numerous scandals related to the confidentiality of Facebook users,* which made the company categorically reluctant to share its name with a technological giant: consumers may mistakenly assume that goods and services are related to Facebook* and the company itself is linked to a social media owner.

Meta*.is is an active owner of its name, but this does not guarantee its victory in court — the former Facebook* has submitted many applications for trademarks since its renaming, ranging from messengers, social media and financial services to low-alcoholic beverages and limb prostheses.
